- Violence spreads at US universities over pro-Palestinian protests. US House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican, confronts students, calling the protests anti-Semitic and demanding they stop, while protesters fear loss of free speech.

- Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez halts official duties to consider resigning after his wife is investigated for corruption.

- IndyCar announced penalties for Team Penske, including disqualifications for Josef Newgarden and Scott McLaughlin and a 10-point penalty for Will Power from the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg due to software violation. Newgarden's disqualification means second placer Pato O'Ward was promoted as the winner of the season opener in St. Petersburg, Florida.

HYBE has shared an interim report about the audit of ADOR. HYBE announced that a formal accusation will be filed against ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin and related individuals for occupational breach of trust.

- The Chicago Bears unveiled a $5bn plan for an enclosed stadium near Soldier Field as part of a major project that would transform the city's lakefront, and they are asking for public funding to help make it happen.

- US officials confirmed that an Israeli missile hit Iran. Iran media says three explosions were heard near an airbase in Isfahan. The attack was a reprisal from last weekend's drone and missile attack launched by Iran to Israel.

- The inquest jury rules that the 48 people who were killed in the 1981 Dublin nightclub fire were unlawfully killed.

- Peter Murrell, the husband of former Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, was re-arrested in connection with the investigation into SNP finances. Murrell was charged in connection with embezzlement of funds from the SNP.

- Kenya's top military official General Francis Ogolla was among those who were killed in a defence force helicopter crash, according to President William Ruto.

- Abarth unveiled the Classiche 1300 OT which is based on the Alfa Romeo 4C. Only five will be made.

- The first-ever Maserati GranCabrio Folgore was unveiled, offering the same 750bhp electric powertrain from its hardtop equivalent but now with an open-top setting.

- The Bangsamoro region has gained eight new cities or towns after the majority of 72,358 residents of 63 barangays in Cotabato province voted in the plebiscite to ratify the Bangsamoro Autonomy Act Nos. 41 to 48. The eight new cities or towns established in the Bangsamoro region are named Pahamuddin, Kadayangan, Nabalawg, Tugunan, Ligawasan, Malidegao, Old Kabakan, and Kapalawan at North Cotabato.

- Former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson said he will try to mediate former PH president Rodrigo Duterte and current president Bongbong Marcos to fix the mess in their relationship.

- The Department of Foreign Affairs expressed concern about rising tensions between Israel and Iran. The DFA calls on countries not to make the situation worse and to resolve their issue.

- Israel minister Benny Gantz says the country will "exact price" from Iran in "timing that is right for us" during the war cabinet meeting assessing the situation after Iran launched over 300 drones and missiles towards Israel.

- The man who went on a stabbing rampage in a Sydney shopping center appears to have targeted women, police say. Joel Cauchi, 40, sent the crowded Westfield Bondi Junction complex into panic on Saturday when he began stabbing people with a long blade. Five of the six people who died were women. Several others, including a baby, were injured.

- The UN warns the Middle East is on the brink of a full-scale conflict. Israel's ambassador to the UN said Iran had crossed every red line. The UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, was speaking at a Security Council emergency meeting on Iran's missile and drone attacks on Israel.

Haiti's main political parties urge the outgoing prime minister, Ariel Henry, to speed up the installation of a new transitional council.

- NBC, CNN, and Fox News joined nine other outlets urging Donald Trump and US President Joe Biden to commit to election debates. "There is simply no substitute for the candidates debating with each other, and before the American people, their visions for the future of our nation," the statement reads.

- The Italian government says it's illegal for Alfa Romeo to produce the recently unveiled Milano crossover outside the country in Poland. The government refers to the 2003 law stating it is illegal to present a foreign-made product as coming from Italy. Stellantis defends its decision to build the Milano in Poland, saying it will slash 10k euros off the crossover's retail price which starts at under 30k euros.

- Park Bo Gum, Suzy, and Shin Dong Yup are back as presenters of the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards happening this May 7th.

- SBS announced a new sports-inspired competition show for males titled Universe League, coming soon.

- Scottie Scheffler wins the Masters after closing with 4-under 68 over the final 18 holes to finish at 11 under for the tournament, beating Ludvig Aberg by 4 strokes. Max Homa, Collin Morikawa and Tommy Fleetwood tied for third at 4 under.

- GMA-7's TV drama Black Rider casts Angeli Khang as Nimfa, the last virgin of Isla Alakdan.

- Transport group PISTON is holding a transport strike this April 15 and 16 followed by a rally. PISTON National President Mody Floranda warned there will be major action before the end of the month. Floranda expects the majority of PISTON members will participate in the transport strike as well as others from the Manibela group and other local associations that are members of the local federation.

- Iran launched drone and missile attacks towards Israel as a reprisal for the Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Syria on April 1st, which Israel has not officially acknowledged. Over 200 drones and missiles launched by Iran were intercepted by Israeli forces and its allies. Some were hit such as an IDF base in southern Israel.

- A 40-year-old male killed six people in a stabbing attack at a mall in Sydney, Australia, before he was killed by police. The attacker "acted alone" and police say it's too early to speculate on the suspect's motivations. Australian PM Anthony Albanese says "hearts go out to those injured" in this "horrific act of violence". The police urged people to avoid the area and advised that the mall was closed.

- The Link! Like! Love Live! app welcomed three new additions to the Hasu no Sora Jogakuin School Idol Club such as Hina Sakurai as Ginko Momose, Fuuka Hayama as Kosuzu Kachimachi, and Rin Kurasu as Hime Anyoji. They'll be joining alongside existing members Nozomi Nirei as Kaho Hinoshita, Kokona Nokana as Sayaka Murano, Niina Hanamiya as Kozue Otomune, Kotoko Sasaki as Tsuzuri Yugiri, Kanna Kan as Rurino Osawa, and Kona Tsukine as Megumi Fujishima.

- Denver beats Boston to win its 10th NCAA men's Frozen Four championship title.

- Alex Pereira knocked Jamahal Hill down in the first round of their UFC 300 match, retaining his light heavyweight title.

- Fernando Alonso renewed his contract with the Aston Martin F1 team, keeping him for next season, 2026, and the sport's next regulatory cycle.

- Hyundai announced its return to the Pikes Peak Hill Climb with its IONIQ 5 N.

- Nickelodeon announced a new SpongeBob Squarepants movie coming at the end of 2025. The fourth SpongeBob movie is titled Search For SquarePants.

- Baldur's Gate 3 wins five awards at the BAFTA Games Awards, including the best game award.

- Korean singer Park Bo Ram dies at the age of 30. Before her death, Park Bo Ram was reportedly gearing up for a comeback.

- European Champions League matches saw heightened security after alleged ISIS threats.

- The Arizona state court revived an 1864 anti-abortion law that saw condemnation from US President Joe Biden, calling it a cruel decision that rips away women's rights. It joins more than 12 other states where abortions have been largely outlawed since the SCOTUS stripped off the Roe v Wade ruling two years ago.

- Paolo Pininfarina, the chairman of the Pininfarina Group, passed away at the age of 65.
